Deteriorating

I'm not feeling well, haven't been myself.
My body is acting up, it's had enough. Thrown in the towel
The reality is not hard to see.
My memories are fading fast, no bouncing back, I'm deteriorating.
--Tonight, I don't think I'm going to wake up.
We've run out of time, out of years, out of luck.
Believe in all honesty and truth
I'll keep a good eye on you
Now I limp around but I won't drag this out.
My suffering won't subside, I fought the fight
So as you lay me down just say goodnight because it's not goodbye.
In an afterlife we'll reunite in a constellation lightyears high.
We haunt our favourite memories as ghosts, so I'm aware of what awaits.
